You need to be 16 years old or over to do the Level 1 Induction to Youth Work course. These are held on one evening a week for 6 weeks and are workshops which will help you to complete a Level 1 portfolio. To complete the portfolio you will need to be working in a youth project of some kind. We can help with placements. To take part in a placement or work in a youth group you will need satisfactory Criminal Records Bureau clearance.</p> <p>To do the NVQ 2 in Youth work you will need to have completed your Level 1. Workshops for these are held fortnightly over twelve months. You complete 6 units of work and build a portfolio of evidence based on your youth work practice.
