Hi all,
We've had a brilliant first day: shared ideas for future projects, had a tour of the straw house (Tracy planning to move in!), followed by reed bed sanitation area - turns waste into water that fish can live in - natural magic.
After lunch team building on the high ropes - some taking part in adventurous activity for the first time. Then it was the first workshop, introducing the concept of environmental education and awareness.
We held a successful AGM on Monday 9th November. The evening was packed full of presentations from people who we have worked with over the last year, and was a fantastic reminder of the work that we do with young people.
We were delighted to receive a cheque of £1,000 from the Leamington Safer Neighbourhood Team South as sponsorship raised from the Three Peaks Challenge they completed. The money will be used to support our own youth work on the Brunswick ward. A bottle tombola also raised £100 for WAYC, so thanks to our volunteers for their hard work in running the stall!
Making last minute preparations - packing lots of jumpers, waterproofs and wellies!
We are holding our fourth Annual Dinner and Auction on 16th December and would like to invite you to support us. The event will be held again this year at the Lord Leycester Hospital, Warwick and many local businesses will be attending.
We would love you to support us by donating something for our auction. If this is at all possible then we would be delighted to hear from you.

We are delighted to announce that we have secured funding for some exciting projects which will be taking place over the next few months!
Our Divert project, funded by the Home Office Community Fund will take place over three years and target young people who could be at risk of getting involved in gun and knife crime in Solihull. This project is just getting underway, so more news soon!
