Funding for Youth Groups

Many youth groups approach us to help them find funding. We offer a two hour free consultation with all affiliated groups to help them look at appropriate sources of funding. However, there are some obvious first choices for projects.

  • South Warwickshire Youth Bank
Grants can assist youth-led projects with a community or environmental benefit in areas that experience high levels of nuisance youth, disadvantage and a lack of facilities.

  • Warwickshire Youth Opportunity Fund
The Youth Opportunity Fund is a pot of money given by the Government to pay for young people’s activities locally. This money is there for young people to bid for things you’d like to do but haven’t had the chance to. This may be things like residentials, DJ Workshops, arts projects, developing projects which benefit other young people.

The fund is managed by a group of young people from your area, who will meet to consider and discuss your application and decide on how the fund will be given out.

For further information, please contact the County Youth Officer on 01926 738494 or download an application pack from Youth Opportunity Fund

  • Warwickshire Council for Voluntary Youth Services (WCVYS)
Manages grants to youth groups in the voluntary and community sector on behalf of the Community Education Service. Applications are for affiliated groups only and are available to assist with training and programme development.

For more information call WCVYS on 01926 413611.

  • Warwickshire Crimebeat
Crimebeat was set up by the High Sheriff of Warwickshire and aims to encourage young people to identify crime and community safety issues. It provides grants of up to £500 to groups who work with young people. All applications need to be written and developed by young people and need to demonstrate that projects aim to reduce crime and improve community safety.
