Understanding Graffiti Art

WAYC staff have delivered various accredited educational Graffiti Art projects for young people across the region(s).

These projects allow young people to explore art and have a go at producing their very own art works.

Along side the practical elements of our projects we also deliver activities designed to allow young people to consider the legal and illegal implications of street art, the costs of making art, the social impact of graffiti, appropriate places for art and how art can be used to have a say and get involved in community.

Our educational programs have been designed to capture the attention of young people in order to give them a positive learning experience linked to their interests and allow them to get involved. These projects are accredited through the ArtsAward.

These projects have been enjoyed by both young people new to street art (or shy about making art in general) and by those who have been involved in the art form previously.

Would you like to set up a project for young people in your area??
