Barging Through Time
WAYC supported 6 young people to explore the rich heritage of their local Warwickshire canal system. The young people with moderate learning difficulties were all from Round Oak School. The project gave the young people the opportunity to learn more about how canals were used historically and their importance to the industrial revolution along with resourcing of archive photographs, the creation of present day photographs of the same view points and the collection of both showing the ‘before and after’ perspective.
