Quality and Governance

Welcome to the Quality and Governance page of the WAYC website. WAYC is part of the Coventry and Warwickshire Infrastructure Consortium (CWIC) Quality and Governance Project. This is funded by Capacity Builders until March 2011. The project will create a step change in the quality and accessibility of services to front line Voluntary and Community (VCS) groups in Coventry and Warwickshire.

WAYC is committed to improving the Quality and Governance of its affiliated groups.

We offer support to groups to obtain the WAYC Kitemark standard at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels. We are also supporting groups to obtain the Warwickshire Awards for Involvement - which all youth groups in Warwickshire will need to have by 2010 if they want to obtain funding from the Council.

In addition we support to groups who are setting up by giving advice on their constituiton and governing documents (see below). We also offer:

* Training on specific topics requested by groups

* One to one meetings with managers/trustee and committee members

* Follow on training ‘surgery' sessions

This webpage will be used to keep you informed about what's happening in the project, as well as providing details of relevant and useful Quality and Governance resources and topical news.
