YOUTH EXCHANGE IN ODESSA

25 OCTOBER - 5 NOVEMBER 2009

Innovation And Creativity In Community Actions

GB-31-53-2009-R2

FLASH MOBBING WORKSHOP FINAL PRESENTATION

The Black Sea and the Odessian Steps provided the backdrop to our latest intercultural learning adventure. The theme of our latest Youth Exchange was innovation and creativity. We tried things we had never tried before and experimented with sharing information in creative ways.

The World Café style sessions enable the young people to explore and discuss cutting issues that affect them. Recognising similarities and being shocked and surprised by some of the inequalities that our counter part Countries faces. The Youth Leaders were the waiters rewarding feedback, comments and ideas with teas, coffees and cakes. The group really felt bonded accept this activity and were able to address areas of communication that was other wise missed.

As part of the creative side the participants spread the message of volunteering through the medium of Flash Mobbing – Flash Mobbing is where a group of people spread a message publically through the act of creative demonstration, art or drama.

Finally the whole group came together to develop and deliver workshops to students in Odessa. We all joined together in a final Flash Mob outside the hotel.

The whole exchange was funded by the European Unions Youth in Action programme. For pictures of the exchange go to http://tsiolkovsky.net/Flash/Gallery/Odessa/index.html which is on our Bulgarian partners website.
