The Mancetter Project is an 18-month programme of activity, offering youth club activities for 10-18 year olds in Mancetter, North Warwickshire. The project is a partnership between Warwickshire Association of Youth Clubs (WAYC), St Peters Church and Mancetter Village Community Association. The project is funded by North Warwickshire LEADER fund which is European grant funding distributed by North Warwickshire Borough Council and DEFRA in association with the West Midlands Rural Development programme. WAYC will be the lead organisation on the project, managed by Kate Wilding.
The club will meet weekly from Monday 30th January 2012 at the Bracebridge Centre in St Peters and will offer a wide range of activities promoting fun, friendship and issue based youth work. Plesae see the flyer to find out more.
The club will also be running a series of specialist activities such as a residential experience aboard the ‘Dream Catcher’ narrow boat and the ‘First Gear’ pre-learner driver course. The club will benefit from £2,000 of funds to buy capital equipment for the Bracebridge Centre, such as games, table tennis table etc and over £48,000 of revenue funding to employ qualified youth and community workers to run the facility and develop work with young people in the Mancetter area.
