'Insight' Young Journalists needed!

Want to make the news?? Get in touch!

WAYC are currently recruiting a group of young people aged 14 - 21 years to take part in this exciting opportunity in Nuneaton/Bedworth (and surrounding) areas.

Starting very soon, these young people will meet to discuss, plan and then research, write and design their own pages of a local newspaper. Meetings will be held in the evening approximately once a week/fortnight until mid April, with a view to print at the end of April.

So commitment and enthusiasm required!!

This group will be the lead editors for the pages but we would also like to hear from ANY young people who have ideas, want to make their voice heard, have got an opioion or have photographs and/or illustrations that could be used for the pages.

All content of the printed pages is to be agreed by the lead young editors (so long as it's honest, decent and legal!). These pages are for young people to make their voices heard!

If you would like to be considered as a young editor then please complete the attached 'application form' and return to Lee Atkins ASAP!!

In the meantime have a look at the work of a previous group of young editors, in the Leamington Courier, the Nuneaton Tribune and the Nuneaton 'In Touch' - could you do better? Got some ideas/something to say? Get in touch, get involved!!

ANY questions then please contact us: lee.atkins@wayc.org.uk
